Power Master PM-1800L

A well thought-out, solid piece of equipment, with two UK outlets on its front, a remote panel and the neatest DC Input system in the group. This comprised two 1m x 50mm2 cables, pre-wired into a two-pin plug. The back of the cast has a matching socket that gives you instant connection, with no chance of reverse polarity or short circuits.  Output is sine-wave, which degraded at minimum load but ran every piece of equipment with a 5% overlaod. Clear Best Buy.

Verdict

Our Best Buy is the Power Master 1800. Costing £599 it ran everything including the kettle, comes complete with a remote control panel and DC power cables as standard, making it the simplest unit to install and is a solid piece of kit.
